Funky Purple Snake

One of the best things about Reality Forest is the surprises.
This little fella was sunning himself by my stream when we found him. He slithered away pretty quick when we walked up.

I'm sure he's got a nice little hideaway under the rocks.

Lots Of Chains

This is me dreaming about the chains again.
I had lots and lots of them on me.

The feeling of the cold metal is what I always remember most.
I was naked, completely. And the best part is, I'm not in this ridiculous forest with something crawling on me. Funny how I've traded bugs crawling on me for chains all over me.

Surprise Pic

Gina snapped this picture of me earlier today. I wasn't expecting her to snap my pic. It was one of those moments where someone calls your name and you turn, and all you see is a flash of light in your face, then your left blinking like someone threw acid in your eyes.
I think I look a little dorky, but I've taken pictures of people like this so I guess I can't complain.

Gina And The Red Beetles

I think I've taken pictures of these beetles before. They're a bright candy apple red and are about as long as my foot.
I had Gina stand behind the bush. They were devouring the nectar, so I got a good shot.

It's absolutely stunning how Mother Nature makes the creatures of the world.
I wish I knew where we are in the world.
Reality Forest is my world, and this is what I share it with.

Dreaming Of Almost Kissing Gina

I had a wicked dream last night. It involved Gina.
We were standing around and I put my hands around her waist.
It started off innocent and friendly.

It was one of those romantic moments women get wet about. The only thing missing was the scent of aromatic candles and sappy music.

Our lips were just about to touch...

...then the snap of an alligator's jaws woke me out of my dream.

Spiked Green Flower

This was a really cool find.
It's a spiked green flower.
It smelled a little like a rose dipped in gin. It was quite nice.
Usually these types of plants are purple but this was a very impressive green.

Looking For Grass

Today we looked around for something we could make twine out of to tie around the trees.

Nothing that we were familiar with would work out dry. The viney blue flower stems crumble to bits when they are dry and so do most of the leafy plants. We'll have to find an area with a lot of grass.

Maybe we'll get an early start tomorrow.

Gina's Booty

Gina deliberately showed off her booty for this picture.
She said if I was going to post pictures of her online, she wanted anyone who finds them to know how nice her ass is. I'm certainly not going to argue with her.

Something To Worry About

Gina made it back from her tinkle okay.
I hate to admit it, but I was worried when she was gone for those few minutes.

Anything can happen here in Reality Forest.
She could have been snatched up by a man-eating rabbit or gobbled up by a hungry snake. I've seen many horrible things here. Some things I've never taken pictures of because they're just so horrible.

I'm glad I have someone to worry about.

Giant Ant Takes A Drink

I spotted one of those huge, giant ants by the stream. I managed to get a shot of it before it disappeared.
If you look at the bottom right of the picture you'll see the normal sized ants.
I've seen these giants before and it always amazes me.

Gina Goes To Tinkle

Gina went to disappear for a few minutes. Hopefully no animals with strong noses can smell her or we'll have to fight them off.
I've seen it happen where giant man-eating animals smell blood from hundreds of  kilometres away and find the location of it and feed.

Putting On Her Shoes

Gina was still silent. I asked if anything was wrong.

"I have to go tinkle behind the trees." she said.

Gina was very irritated.
"I miss the comforts of home like running water for a shower or a toilet. I can't stand taking a dump and having to use leaves to wipe my ass."

"Your lucky you're not a girl because I'm about to go on my rag. It really sucks when it happens in Reality Forest because there are no rags here. There aren't even any comfortable leaves to cover my snatch with."

"I'll be waiting for you to get back." I told her. "Holler if you get into trouble."

"I like how casual you are about it. Not a care in the world. You don't have a visitor every month. Even in Reality Forest they're pretty friggin' reliable. Boy, men sure have it easy. Not a bloody worry in the world. I wish I had some chocolate Matthew."

Sitting At My Stream Chillin

Gina was comfortably silent. Perhaps she's tired.

Listening to the silence of the forest was relaxing.
My Father always told me the world was much prettier sounding when my Mom kept her mouth shut. I think I finally know what he meant.

I scooped some water.

I could see tiny little fish in the stream. They were too small to photograph.

Ooh! Look at the cardinal that landed.

Dipping Our Feet

Here we are dipping our feet. The water is fantastic. It's a little cool but extremely satisfying for the feet.

We sat and chatted for hours.
Not a single animal harassed us. Just the odd ant crawling around.

We really got to know each other.
Our plan is to map out the area with bits of braided dry grass tied to trees. This way we won't get lost again. But for now we will enjoy each other's company and the soothing water.

We Made It

Gina and I made it back to the stream today. We didn't think we were this close, but we were.

It was just as beautiful and refreshing as ever.

Gina saw a snake on the other side but she said as long as it wasn't the alligator than we were fine. This particular snake wasn't poisonous anyway. It was probably just sunning itself.

Besides I'm sure it was just as curious and afraid of us as we are of it.

I suggested we head a little further downstream and soak our feet for a bit and relax for the rest of the day. She thought it was a great idea.

Mama Possum And Family

This is the cutest thing I've seen for a while. A family of brown possums. And they weren't gigantic like a lot of animals you see here. They didn't even seem vicious.

Of course mama possum was watching out for her little ones while Gina and I were watching them.
They were just sniffing around, learning about the ways of the forest.
They were a very nice distraction today.

Back On Track

We're back on track. We found some of our foot prints and decided to follow where they were coming from. I can't wait to take a nice long gulp of water from my stream again. We've been mostly drinking the water that pools itself on the leaves of plants in the mornings. And hopefully we don't run into that mean, angry alligator again, or any other ones.
It'd be kinda cool to run into some more people too.

Spider Checking Out Gina

We reached a clearing with the same sandy ground as earlier this week.
There must have been a lake here decades ago, because there are tiny bits of broken shells in the sand.
Here's a shot of a little spider. It was in fighting mode when I set the camera next to it.
I didn't get a clear shot of Gina but I got a great shot of the back of the spider. It's got a pretty plump gut on it so I'm sure it eats very well here in Reality Forest.
I shouldn't have gotten so close to it because it might be poisonous but hey you gotta take chances.
Still haven't found the stream yet.

Heading Back

Here we are heading back to my stream for some cool refreshing water.
This route doesn't look familiar to us so we have to depend on the direction of the sun in the morning to guide us. Because Reality Forest is so thick and dense we can get lost very easily. I have confidence we will get back and I assured Gina because she's a bit worried.

Gina Looking At Flowers

We decided to head back to the stream today. We reached a part of the forest we couldn't even crawl through. It was so thick and dense. I don't even think a little critter could have climbed through. Besides we're getting thirsty and we're getting scratched by all the thorny vegetation.
Gina posed near these wonderful pink flowers that grow on the tips of tall grass. There were also the blue rose like flowers that are pretty common here and, if you look at the top left corner, a very fragrant purple flower that has needles for its pedals. I'll try and get a better pic of one later.
She says she hasn't seen this many flowers in one place since she's been trapped here.

Black Hairy Legged Beetle

Here's a fascinating beetle we found. This little guy has little hairs on it's legs and the thickest antenna I've ever seen. I should have put my hand near it or had Gina pose near it to give an idea of the size, but Gina wouldn't go for it. She said the thing looked ugly and didn't want to take any chances. It's longer than my foot and I take a size ten.

Squeezing Gina's Head

I couldn't resist this picture today.
Gina was walking over some weird sandy hills and I snapped her pic from far away.
I put my hand in front of the camera so it looks like I'm squeezing her head between my fingers.
It makes for a very funny picture.

Acid Flashback

Today, for a few minutes, I experienced an acid flashback.

Years ago when I was a teen I did try my hand at drugs.
I admit it they were fun in the right situation. Somethimes I had a bad trip but most of the time, with the right company, it was great.

Now, occasionally, I experience a flashback of the good ol' days. Ooh the colours, the colours.
